According to a Press releasePalazzo Versace Dubai now accepts Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment for services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The station now allows customers to pay with Bitcoin through a partnership with Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. As of September 7, customers can use Bitcoin to pay for hotel stays, meals, events, meetings, and spa treatments. The Binance app is now a payment option available to all visitors.

General Manager of Palazzo Monther Darwish says the resort continues to be at the forefront of development and expansion in the hospitality industry. “Accepting cryptocurrencies as payments is another innovative step we have taken to prepare our business for the future,” he adds.

The station will integrate internet payments in the next launch phase, which is expected “soon after”. Once the integration is complete, Palazzo will accept bitcoins and cryptocurrencies as payment through its e-commerce platform, which also allows shoppers to explore the resort’s flower shop and purchase gift cards.

Financial organizations such as FTX Exchange and Komainu have recently started operations in Dubai with the aim of becoming a hub of digital innovation. Palazzo is the latest to start accepting Bitcoin.

Nadeem Ladki, Binance Regional Business Development Manager, said:

Palazzo Versace’s ability to now accept payments in virtual assets reflects how Dubai’s hospitality industry is at the forefront of innovation as we move into a more digital world.

Ladki concluded that Palazzo plans to expand its partnership with Binance beyond payments in the future.
