Venetian Resort Las Vegas unveils the renovated Palazzo hotel

When it opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 2008, the Palazzo was designed to capture the old world charm of Italy. Ten years later, however, a dramatic refresh and renovation has made the property look newer than older, according to owner Las Vegas Sands Corp., who announced the property’s updates this week.

Part of the Venetian Resort Las Vegas – which also includes the adjoining Venetian Resort and Casino and the Sands Convention Center – the Palazzo has 2,872 suites and access to over 2.3 million square feet of meeting space. As part of the refurbishment, the former have been updated with a “lighter and brighter” interior design that includes new eco-friendly wall coverings, flooring, lighting and finishes.

Other updates include the addition of: Electra Cocktail Club, a 127-seat cocktail bar on the casino floor whose centerpiece is a massive digital signage showcasing original 70 million pixel artwork and over a billion colors; the first American establishment of Mott 32, based in Hong Kong, a Chinese restaurant open in December with fresh dim sum of the day and a mix of Cantonese and Szechuan gastronomic practices; and Prestige at The Palazzo, a new luxury offering that gives premium guests access to exclusive amenities and services, such as a private check-in with a glass of Prosecco.

Finally, the casino floor has also been given a facelift; new highlights include an aerial electric color ribbon that creates a wave of light across the casino and new marble walkways with Italian-inspired patterns and medallions.

“Visitors returning to the Palazzo will see a noticeable difference in the energy level of the resort,” said George Markantonis, President and COO of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo. “The culmination of almost two years of work, we have touched almost every aspect of the guest experience at the Palazzo. Starting with the casino, which has been redesigned from floor to ceiling, and continuing with the resort’s renovated suites, the Palazzo offers a fresh take on luxury in Las Vegas. “
